Abstract
Executive Summary Plei Augmented Education Solution will enhance educational techniques, providing the technological resources to the students so they can improve their learning process. It is a learning assistant that aids the student in the management of knowledge. Our clients are educational Institutions and students who will be provided of the compiled information that our platform obtains. Students could receive a richer set of information from the class looking through the device. As well the teaching device will be able to monitor the student performance and then reinforce accordingly by games. The teacher will be provided a statistical information for teaching planning purposes. Across the world there’s a huge problem, people are dying of hunger, social inequalities are becoming more radicals, and the problem isn’t politics issues or the economy situation, the problem is the unconscious way we’re poorly living. That’s why we propose Plei as a solution, because it will Democratizes education, giving oportunity of learning to almost every human. Plei solution involves various technology such as: Artificial Intelligence, Web 3.0 (Semantic Web), Elaborative encoding, Social Networking and Augmented Reality. All combined will be as a result the best educational platform ever! One of the amazing benefits will be through Augmented Reality, a techonology that will immersed the student in the topic of the class.

Hi Josefina,
We talk about technics to improve the learning of new content, and to better retain it in memory. We propose a model of education in which the kids can actually play with its environment and relate it to the concepts that they are traying to learn.

We think that this device can promote better study methodologies for students. In certain manner it teaches learning methods. So they don't depend on this device, but they learn how to mitigate the great amount of information acquired, and to effectively retain it.

I understand your assumptions about internet availability and low cost of computers, but I want to know about the cost of powering the device (are you hoping for solar http://www.futurity.org/scienc e-technology/solar-tablets-com ing-to-schools-in-india/? or a self-powered computer like http://www.environmentteam.com /concept/ecopad-self-powered-c omputer/? and do you hope that this services are also cheaper by 2030?

because the world, as well as us, is moving towards the feasibility of this project.
We were not very troubled about the hardware because, based in the Moore's Law, in 20 years this kind of things have to happen. And also because we come from a software and comunications/interfaces background, so we tend to aproach in a Top-Down fashion. As we see in the links you posted here, very soon there will be solar powered tablets for an unvelievable 50 bucks!
We believe it's just a matter of time for these devices to be accesible. The important question for us was “What good uses can we give to this incredible devices in the future?”
For us it was a matter of mixing good things we have seen in various fields of knowledge.
There are great works in electronics, as well as in computer science and mathematics, and of course in new ways of comunicating and learning from the fields of comunications and psycology, respectively. We follow the Systemic View and we aproach from various points to propose a solution to a problem that arises from diverse causes.
- The problem of the limited reachability of education could be combated with the support of devices like this (extra cheap hardware, internet and power source) [the electronics]
- With augmented reality interfaces to let the student interact in more realistic ways with the content they are trying to learn, to enable a more atractive learning proccess [the software]
- With the support of psychological learning techniques like the elaborated encoding of new concepts to make them hard to forget and easy to relate to other subjects. [the psychological techniques]
