Title
Abstract
From the original intention to use the LLMCafe & the Volunteer Corporation (V-Corp) to engender teamwork dedicated to a sustainable goal; the enhancement of the tools that primary school pupils require to excel in arithmetic, literacy & creativity, #LLM has grown through the ideas generated in the inaugural meeting of our V-Corp to take on & help heal the growing gap of differences between Nigeria’s peoples via the opportunity to work together and discover each other. There exists a government-run scheme for integration; but it is largely inefficient & hardly any fun. The best feature of #LLM is that it is a self-sustaining project, run on business principles for non-profit aims. It is run by the participants themselves, young people who have one thing in common: their desire to do better, to be better but before now had no way to do it. The PR boost that winning will provide is immense and will further lend credibility to help bring sceptics over to the fun side of meaning, our side.

Abstract
The scope of the original #LLM idea has grown so much since we first conceived of it. The solution has come to incorporate several themes: the spirit of LLM itself providing for openness, and the convergence of diverse peoples, the #LLM volunteer corps and the LLM Café (where art meets passion and creative outputs translate into positive action). LLM is a social enterprise for maximal sustainability. We want to be able to create an enduring project that outlives us and touches more and more people, month after month. We are certain to seek the engagement of corporate organizations, NGOs, & public institutions to partner with our project and strides are already being made in this regard. The MDGs are crucial to this effort with specific emphasis on developing a global partnership for development, ensuring gender equality and encouraging the movement towards environmental sustainability. Our solution calls for more than just ensuring that change is activated in Nigeria and hopefully throughout the world, but it also touches on the importance of not making development work seem like a chore. We are essentially using pop culture in Nigeria and Africa to change the paradigm of social activation and to inspire a volunteering spirit in the minds of young people. This is important because of the sense of ownership we want to ensure is engendered in the African society, using Nigeria as the pilot project. It is essentially a reorientation strategy, based on the tri-nciples of Perception|Expression|Participation that is at the core of Love|Life|Music. LLM is young people helping other young people realise that that they can do what normal people think that young people cannot do. It is a striving for the real, lasting bonds amongst and between Nigeria’s peoples and the different organisations already working to improve life and living conditions.
