Abstract
Garbage, as defined by Webster are things that are no longer useful or wanted and that have been thrown out. In 2009, Americans produced about 243 million tons of these “things”, or about 4.3 pounds of waste per person per day as stated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In the Philippines, there are many incidents that occurred concerning garbage including the Payatas incident in 2000, where hundreds of people died when a huge mountain of garbage collapsed. In order to solve this problem, we have thought of Trash Fun, a “Fun” way that combines trash segregation, recycling and at the same time, encouraging people to use Trash Fun using Social Media such as Social Networking Sites and Online Games. Trash Fun is a new and innovative way of garbage disposal and collection. It includes a smart sorter and smart bins for trash segregation, touch screen monitor and thumb mark scanner for user recognition, solar panels for energy, and a "fun" app that all runs with internet connection . In the near future, we envision a society that all people know and use Trash Fun. A society with one goal: saving the planet and everyone can do this by just simply throwing garbage into the Trash Fun.

Hanaa: Thank you for posting your inquiry. We have community supporters supporting our entry and we're thankful for appreciating our entry. May we clarify...our votes did not go up quickly in an hour's time. It is my hope that you may back up your inquiry with solid facts. Thank you very much for asking and have a nice day.
