Ready for a new interesting challenge that can significantly change our world? Challenge:Future in cooperation with PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), GRLI (Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative) and PRME Anti-Corruption Working Group invites you to take part in a specially designed Challenge on anti-corruption and win free participation at the upcoming PRME Summit in Brussels in June (with costs covered)!

Corruption is playing a major part in undermining the world's social, economic and environmental development. Resources have been diverted to improper use and the quality of services and materials used for development seriously compromised. The impact on poorer communities struggling to improve their lives has been devastating, in many cases undermining the very fabric of society. It has led to environmental mismanagement, undermining labor standards and has restricted access to basic human rights.

To fight corruption in all its forms is simply the right thing to do, but how? What will have the strongest impact to prevent or at least significantly minimize corruption? We invite you to address this important topic, while having a chance to share your ideas with the global community, including prominent business, education leaders, and policy makers at the PRME Summit. Of course, your participation and achievements in this new Challenge will also bring you extra sparks and get you a step closer to the C:F Summit 2012!

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE TO DO

- Identify a critical corruption issue in your country and come up with an idea on how to solve this issue in cooperation with educational institutions, companies, and youth
- Prepare a short abstract (1,000 characters with spaces, plain text) describing the issue and proposed solution
- Prepare a max 3-page (10,000 characters with spaces, plain text) full submission consisting of:

a) description of the real or hypothetic situation, outlining specific corruption-related problem

b) discussion and analysis of the problem: Why is it a problem? What are the existing and possible solutions that could address it (be creative!)? What could be the criteria for evaluating and measuring each of the alternatives? Your analysis should lead to..

c) preferred solution and specific actions for implementing it

ELIGIBILITY

All C:F members between ages 18 and 30 can participate in the challenge. The winner(s) will be required to provide proof about their age in order to be eligible for the awards. No student status is required.

TIMELINE

- Submissions: March 8 – April 14
- Community voting: April 1-14
- Expert judging: April 15-28
- Winner announced: May 3
- Participation in the PRME Forum in Brussels: June 7-8
- Participation in Challenge:Future Summit: March 2012

EVALUATION CRITERIA

1. C:F community will vote for your abstract with “thumbs up” throughout the voting period and will be able to post comments throughout the period of the challenge . The community will only see your abstract – so make sure it conveys both the issue and your proposed solution in a clear and attractive way!

2. The winner of this contest will be selected by an international judging panel consisting of experts from the PRME Anti-Corruption Working Group and Challenge:Future among the top 7 contest entries with the most votes and additional 3 entries pre-selected by the C:F youth judging panel. They will particularly look for the following:

- Quality of situation and dilemma description: interesting, near to reality, clarity of writing, novelty of the situation analyzed

- Practicability of the solution and proposed implementation

- Creativity in approaching the problem

- Quality of decision making process: quantity and quality of criteria taken into account; clarity of the pondering and evaluation

- Degree of innovativeness in the solution found

REFERENCES AND NON-PLAGIARISM

Challenge:Future takes a serious view on plagiarism. If your submission has content copied from external resources without proper referencing, your submission will be immediately removed and your educational institute or associated organisation will be informed.

We highly encourage and support all C:F members to practice proper credit and references to all your submitted work in Quick Challenges, StormIts or the Main Competition. Only C:F members aged between 18 and 30 are eligible to participate.
No student status is required.

The one and only winner, selected by the expert judging panel, will receive:

•free participation at the PRME Summit in Brussels, Belgium on June 7-8 with possibility to present his/her winning solution at the Summit in front of several hundred high-profile participants from education and business

•travel costs covered in the amount of up to EUR 500

•two-night accommodation at the conference hotel

•two one-on-one meetings (with PRME anti-corruption Working Group representative and with high-level corporate representative) during the Summit

Some of the best ideas might be selected to be developed further within the PRME Anti-Corruption Working Group projects, or in cooperation with corporate partners.

The solution with the most community votes will also receive a book The United Nations Global Compact - Achievements, Trends and Challenges and The Future Book.

The three best solutions will also get maximum amount of sparks available for this Challenge!

And that is not all! We will also select up to three authors (subject to the quality of submissions) that will receive the invitation to C:F Summit 2012 with free participation in all program events and 50% covered accommodation and travel costs.
