New C:F Advisory Board

by C:F Team on 27th August, 2010 at 12:45 PM CEST

Is there someone you admire from your country and the person is continuously inspiring many of your fellow youth citizens to create their future? Is there someone you believe should also be in the C:F Advisory Board?

We decided to focus our Weekly Hot Topic on the very essence of inspiration and knowledge Challenge:Future stands upon - our Advisory Board. The contributions and sparks of ideas from our current Advisory Board have been invaluable. We are very happy that many of them were even at the C:F Summit to offer us their perspective of the future. This year, as we continue to grow and challenge our minds to bring forth ideas for the future, we ask you:

Who would you nominate for the C:F Advisory Board?

We welcome suggestions from all regions including Asia, Africa, Latin America and Australia and in all areas such as the arts, science, social causes, environment and technology! And who knows, we might even get to meet and hear from this person during next year's summit as well!

"If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants."

Sir Issac Newton wrote this in a letter in 1676. This is very true today and the future. It is no doubt that youths will always need advice and experiential stories from our mentors and advisors, the ones who will continue to stretch us beyond our potential. So, for now put on your inspiration caps and tell us your nominees for our very own C:F Advisory Board!

I sure got a question though on the Bios of potential C:F Advisory Board members. e.g "Age", "Scope/Range of Effect - Local, Regional, National", "Platform - Private/Public", etc

@Nubi: I like your quote Nubi :)

As for the question, there should not be any restriction on Age, Range or Platform... I believe as long as he/she is a person you admire and the person is a local/global change agent, an inspiration, you can nominate him/her.

Do drop the C:F an email on your nominees ;-)

I would like to nominate Donald Johnston, the former OECD Secretary General, as I believe he can truly add value to the Advisory Board due to his vast experience: http://challengefuture.org/new s/165

And I sincerely think that Mr. Joel Barker should remain in the Advisory Board. He inspired me at the C:F Summit and we need his way of making us see the future: http://challengefuture.org/new s/143
